The City, Faraway

Animated Apertures Exhibited at the Frac Centre - Val de Loire

April 1st, 2016

BAUMGARTNER + URIU’s project Animated Apertures is exhibited in the show "The City, Faraway” at the FRAC Centre (Fonds Regional D’Art Contemporain), France.

The Exhibition will take place at the FRAC Centre - Val de Loire from April 1, 2016 to September 18, 2016.

B+U’s Animated Apertures, which is part of the permanent collection of the FRAC architecture museum, is being exhibited in “The City, Faraway”. The exhibition is conceived as a four-act narrative in plural geographies and time frames. It embraces the issues of discussing our systems of distance, and our systems of vision. In reference to the text and book by French philosopher Jean-Luc Nancy, The project will question the relationship between art and architecture, through the perspective of "disciplinary migrations".
